Chef Awa Sibi of Les Delices de Awa was featured at the Kessenich’s Innovation Center in Madison. This happened on the September edition of Cooking with the Cap Times. Watch the demonstration below, hosted by food editor Lindsay Christians.

For this demonstration, Sibi prepared attieke, or cassava couscous, as well as whole fried fish with side vegetables. Find the recipe here.

Cap Times members were invited to join us in person to enjoy the dish and a glass of wine. Virtual attendees who watched live were encouraged to cook along and ask questions. This was an official Cap Times Idea Fest event.

As Africans we are known for our rich and abundant culture, from the native wears (Ankara wears), the braided hairstyles, landmarks and events. But the we cannot forget to mention the rich delicacy of the African food.
